CEA Course under RSTMP – "Contract Documentation for Implementing the Management and Supervision of Horticultural and Arboricultural Projects"
This recognized course targets to provide Continuing Education in Arboriculture (CEA) hours on Units of Competency (UoC) of the Specification of Competency Standards (SCS) for Registered Arborists under the Registration Scheme for Tree Management Personnel (RSTMP). The course participants with 100% attendance and 70% passing score on the written assessment shall receive a certificate stating 3 CEA hours earned. ISA Certified Arborist can earn 2.25 CEU by attending this course.

Mr. James Ian Robinson
Mr. Ian Robinson is a Chartered Horticulturist, Member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture (UK) and an ISA Certified Arborist who holds a Higher National Diploma in Landscape and Horticultural Technology from the UK. He is ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified and is a HKILA Accredited Arborist.
Ian has been in Landscape Management and Arboricultural senior executive positions for over 46 years both in the UK and, for the last 38 years, in Hong Kong.
Since 1982, Ian was the General Manager of Asia Landscaping Ltd. and the Director of Oriental Landscapes Ltd. respectively until 2017. Thereafter, he has been providing private consultation to different organizations within the industry.
Ian is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Division of Landscape Architecture of the University of Hong Kong where he has been developing and delivering modules on Horticulture, Landscaping and Arboriculture since the commencement of the Master of Landscape Architecture degree course in 1994.
Ian has been actively engaged in the development of the ISA since its first inception in Hong Kong both as an original member the Steering Committee and as a subsequent Board Member.

Registration Priority
Given to Registered personnel under RSTMP, then second ISAHK members, and last with first come first served principle.
Passing Requirements
1. RSTMP CEA
Registered Arborists under RSTMP are the target participants of the Course, which can apply for CEA hours under the key job function covered by the Course, while other Registered tree management personnel under the RSTMP may participate for optional CEA hours. For registered personnel under RSTMP, upon completion of the course (100% attendance) and evaluation form, with at least 70% passing score on the assessment, captioned CEA hours should be granted.
2. ISA CEU
For ISA Credential holders who meet at least 80% attendance rate and input correct course code in evaluation form given, CEU will be granted.
*Please make sure that you have provided correct personal data and avoid attending course of repeated topic if any. Your RSTMP CEA and/or ISA CEU request will be the subject to be determined by related authorities and their decision should be final.
RSTMP Course Assessment
Online assessment in English will be offered to RSTMP participants in the end of the course. RSTMP participants will receive a hyper link to access the online assessment. The online assessment will be given immediately at the end of the course. 16 multiple-choice questions will be required to complete in 20 mins. At least 70% score of total marks will be qualified as “PASS”.
Evaluation Form
All participants must complete the evaluation form within 3 days after the event. In the end of the course, a unique “course code” will be immediately announced to all participants. CEA and/or CEU will be granted to related participants with correct input of course code in the evaluation form.
