The upcoming written exam for “ISA Certified Arborist, Utility Specialist, Municipal Specialist & Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist” will be held in coming April - details as follows:
ExamDate: 15 April 2023 (Saturday)
Examtime (to be held on the same day) for different credentials:
Morning Session
1. Certified Arborist written exam: 09:30 – 13:00
2. Utility Specialist & Municipal Specialist written exams: 09:30 – 11:30
3. Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist written exam: 09:30 – 11:00
Afternoon Session
1. Certified Arborist written exam: 14:30 – 18:00
2. Utility Specialist & Municipal Specialist written exams: 14:30 – 16:30
3. Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist written exam: 14:30 – 16:00
Venue: HKICC Lee Shau Kee School Of Creativity, No.135, Junction Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Quota for each session: 40
For Certified Tree Worker exam application ONLY:
- All applicants must have certificate in first-aid course recognized in Hong Kong. They must also have proof of training in aerial rescue. For more information, please click here.
- Please register the exam through the ISA website

The exam may be cancelled or postponed if Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted or issued 2 hours before the exam time, or for any other unforeseen event beyond our control. In case of such events, the organiser will contact the candidates. The candidate might also call 5228 5526 on the exam date in case of any uncertainty.
