Part 1 (20:00-20:30): Tree management experience in foreign countries (CEU 0.5)
- Briefly introduce the standard, requirement and quality of tree management in different countries (i.e. tree policy, occupational safety, environmental concerns, culture)
- Explain and compare the differences in terms of tree preservation, protection, plantation, species diversity
- Explain and compare the climbing technique and the use of heavy machinery in different countries, i.e. crane, bucket truck, transplant root ball, etc.
Part 2 (20:30-21:15): Speaker sharing on foreign job market and working culture
- Different job types in foreign tree works industry
- ISA development, arborist job market, culture and lives in foreign countries
- Job requirements as an arborist in foreign countries
- Explain the credential/qualification system of different countries
- The importance as an ISA certified arborist in foreign tree works industry

Mr. Lee Kai Wang (Australia)
Kai Wang's tree work career begins from 2007. Kai Wang had earned business-travel experience in Australia for tree works in 2009. He is the best winner of Asia-Pacific Tree Climbing Championship in Head to Head Foot Lock (2008) and awardee of third prize of the International Tree Climbing Championship in Secured Foot Lock Event (2012).
Mr. Leung Wing Keung Mike (Canada)
Mike has been an ISA Certified Arborist since 2006. With over 16-year experience as arborist who has cooperated with Hong Kong arborists working in Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg, he will share the ISA development, arborist job market, culture and living in different provinces of Canada as well as the experience in applying working visa and becoming a dweller in Canada.
Mr. Ho Avis Ten Shin (Sweden)
Avis is the holder of ISA Ceritified Arborist and Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist credentials. He started his career since 2015 in hometown Hong Kong. In 2018, he travelled to Sweden to broaden his knowledge and experience by working in a completely different tree care scene in the nordic world, currently based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Mr. Chan Kwok Yiu (United Kingdom)
Kwok Yiu has started with his tree work career since 2014. He is the holder of ISA Certified Tree Worker Aerial Lift Specialist with practical experience over 8 years. To move into a broader stage in the tree work industry, he decided to relocate to Harrogate, United Kingdom in 2021 to continue his career path.
CEU
For ISA Credential members who meet at least 80% attendance rate and input correct course code in evaluation form given, 0.5 units of CEU will be granted.
Evaluation Form
Evaluation form will be sent out by email after the course. All participants must complete the evaluation form in 3 days once the form is sent. At the end of the course, a unique “course code” will be immediately announced to all participants. CEU will be granted to ISA Credential members with correct input of course code in the evaluation form.
